Recovery Conduct

Clear rules for professional recovery activity.

NUAJU's recovery approach is built around accurate communication, confidentiality, proper records and defined escalation.

Identity and authority

We identify who we are and on whose behalf we are contacting a debtor. Recovery activity is carried out within instructions agreed with the client.

Confidentiality

We do not discuss a debt with unauthorised third parties. Information is handled according to the purpose of the engagement and appropriate data-handling requirements.

Communication

We do not threaten, humiliate or mislead. Contact is made through agreed channels and within agreed parameters.

Disputes

Where a debtor genuinely disputes a debt, the matter is reviewed by a person before further automated activity continues.

Records

Material contacts, commitments and payments are recorded so the case history can be understood and reported.

Escalation

Cases requiring formal legal action are prepared and referred through the appropriate legal process.
